Pictures of the Antonov An-225 Mryia visit to Manchester Int. airport, this giant of aviation is until now the only one flying, It was developed to transport the Soviet Union's space shuttle ( Buran ) and it was very nice visitor and first time visitor to Manchester Int.

The Antonov An-225 arrived from Kiev to Ringway on the 1st Oct. to take cargo of Music and stage equipment to Lagos, finally departed for Lagos via Tripoli at midday on the 5th Oct., on Runway 24L in the rain as ADB1264.

Typically the weather in Manchester on its departure was very wet and windy, however it was well worth the travel from Anglesey.

Hawarden A-380 VisitAirbus A-380 Hawarden 18-05-2006

Images of the first visit of Airbus A-380 F-WWDD C/N 004 to BAe Hawarden Chester, images was taken from woodlane parallel to approach on runway 05.

Airbus developed the A380 as the most spacious and efficient airliner ever conceived. This 555-seat aircraft will deliver an unparalleled level of comfort while retaining all the benefits of commonality with Airbus’ other fly-by-wire aircraft Families.

I have never seen so many people gather in one place, the roads around the place was jam packed with cars and people, I would guess two/three thousand people gather around the airfield to see the beast.

A great day for aviation and something that will stay with me for a very long time, I cant wait to see it in service.

John Wayne Airport is located in Orange County, California, between the cities of Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, and Irvine.

The airport serves both general and commercial aviation needs for the area. The main runway, at 5,701 feet, is one of the shortest of any major airport in the United States, effectively restricting use to aircraft no larger than a Boeing 757.

Good place's for Photos

The "Imperial Hill" in El Segundo offers a view of nearly the entire southern part of the airport. The observation hill is located between Sepulveda Boulevard and Main Street, along Imperial Avenue.

The Proud Wings restaurant is located under the approach path of Runways 25L and 25R. There are a few military aircraft on display here.

There is also a good viewing spot just under the final approach of Runways 24L and 24R, near the In-N-Out Burger restaurant. This can be reached by turning left upon leaving the main terminal area.
